Thoughts on AllPowers Solar Panels

About:

The “ALLPOWERS 2 Pieces 2.5W 5V/500mAh Solar Panel DIY Battery Charger Kit Mini Encapsulated Solar Cell Epoxy for Battery Power LED 130x150mm (Solar Panel Only)” are working quite well.

They are rated at 5V and .5 amps. In my testing, when cool and in direct sunlight, I get those numbers. My measurements are as follows:

Test 1:
Panel Temperature: 80 F (26 C)
Voltage: 5.55
Amperage: .513

Note: I am measuring the amperage connecting positive to positive and negative to negative.

Test 2:
Panel Temperature: 150 F (65 C)
Voltage: 5.26
Amperage: .500

Overall I am happy with the panels’ performance and happy enough to purchase 6 for the rover.
